In TRIVOLTHERM® NKN and TRIVOLTHERM® NK, the excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical values of the polyimide film are combined with the outstanding chemical and thermal properties of the aramide paper in an optimal way.
The polyimide film guarantees high electrical strength even at high temperatures, while the
aramide paper protects the polyimide film against chemical effects and mechanical damage (only for three-layer TRIVOLTHERM® NKN). Despite the smooth surface, the impregnation resins bond very well to the aramide paper sides of TRIVOLTHERM® NKN and TRIVOLTHERM® NK. Since both the polyimide film and the aramide paper do not have a melting point, TRIVOLTHERM® NKN or TRIVOLTHERM® NK can be exposed to continuous thermal overloads in electrical machines without significant deterioration of the properties. We developed a very special adhesive formula for TRIVOLTHERM® NKN and TRIVOLTHERM® NK as well, which allows the positive properties of the individual components to develop.
